Hello everyone!!  Thank you for visiting my poetry blog!  I started this blog to share my poetry with all who enjoy reading and writing poetry.  Enjoy!!

Healing The Heart

The divine spirit of love
Dwelling within every searching heart
Is our promise of assurance unwritten
Our silent impression of illumination

From the depths of love and compassion
And the purity of spiritual wisdom
The essence of our truth is found
And within, is a vibration of peace
That enters forever in your heart

So if your soul is filled with negativity
It’s pain lashes out with hatred
Constricting the harmony within yourself
Hindering the flow of healing life energy
Holding you back from your full potential

And the fear that is embedded in your soul
Awaits for love to release its pain
And to soothe the many scars
That bind your heart from ever being free
So love your heart, and heal it
Through giving it out to all of the world

A Heavenly View

The sun fell into the night
Shining down rays of light
Spreading across the water’s reflection
Pleading good night its peaceful intention

Sending the water onto the shore
Crashing the rocks with a steady roar
Changing into a neon blue
Filling the air with a misty dew

Clouds gathering within its warmth
Looking below to a dormant earth
Showing colors in every hue
Blending into a heavenly view

Slipping away beneath the horizon
Letting the stars come out of hiding
Allowing the day and excepting the night
Now we can see the earth’s night-light

A Wonderful Love

A wonderful love
Together we share
My precious beloved
A love so rare

Together we share
Humble and true
A love so rare
Are hearts anew

Humble and true
True love can be
Are hearts anew
To always be free

True love can be
An intimate embrace
To always be free
Living with grace

To always be free
My precious beloved
Living with grace
A wonderful love

I Will Always Remember...

I will always remember...
The joy in his voice
That he found Gods treasure
To be a servant of choice

The joy in his voice
Spoke love and peace
To be a servant of choice
His joy will never cease

Spoke love and peace
To all of his friends
His joy will never cease
Gods love never ends

To all of his friends
For his family I say
Gods love never ends
In our hearts he will stay

For his family I say
That he found Gods treasure
In our hearts he will stay
I will always remember...

A Grandmother’s Love

A Grandmother’s Love
So tender and sweet
The joy in every hug
I will always keep

So tender and sweet
The love she imparts
I will always keep
Forever in my heart

The love she imparts
Put a smile on my face
Forever in my heart
Each memory I’ll embrace

Put a smile on my face
Wiped away all my tears
Each memory I’ll embrace
Soothing all of my fears

Wiped away all my tears
The joy in every hug
Soothing all of my fears
A Grandmother’s Love

To Grandma Schmiegel
I will always Love and Miss you

Mystic Rain

Raindrops falling from above
Breathing new life in perfect love
Gently descending without force
Failing not to stay its course
Ever falling pure and true
Living a life that gives to you
Pressing down to touch the trees
Writing music upon their leaves
As it penetrates in the ground
There was life to be found
Planted within was a seed
Waiting solely to be freed
Then it happened without a doubt
Out there came a tiny sprout
Reaching up with pure delight
Quickly grew into the light
Now this life was truly free
To become a mighty tree

LADYBUG

I chose once again
To become an eastern friend
Listening to the silence
Of dimensions to transcend

I will breathe into the light
To awake within the night
I am conscience of this dream
In a world of thought unseen

Hearing the universal sound
While wearing the crown of love
To steep my mind forever
Inside the infinite beloved

She is calling out my name
To pass through fear and pain
With the courage to begin
An awakened spirit within

I will drift among the stars
That align the farthest heavens
In a place where I am known
It is there... I will make my home

We Dance

I loved the way
We danced that night
When you whispered
A word into my ear
And sang that tune
Only I could hear
We danced all night
Holding each other close
And sang the songs
That we knew most
You took me by surprise
As you held my eyes
With the beauty of your style
And the sparkle of your smile
Like a dream come true
While dancing with you
You’re in my heart
And the dance never ends
The music keeps playing
And we dance, we dance again

“Thoughts Anew”

Within the streams of life
Flowing down a forest green mountain
With the moon shining like the sun at noon
In a glimmering starlight ecstasy
Our most Grand thought rising
Like a feather in the wind
Floating in an effortless motion
Conveying our every desire
A timeless, sweet desire
Recreating my soul anew
As it blows like a quiet Breeze
Brushing the tips of...
The mountain top trees!

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Love Divine

Love is our gift
So precious and divine
Like beautiful songbirds
Sharing their melody of victory
Glorifying the thoughts of our mind

Unconditional in all its ways
It understands with every reach
Beholding the joy of God
With an attitude so great
To redeem our life
From its sorrowful state

Every fear is overcome
And every diluted thought dies
With the power of love and a believing mind
Heaven on earth becomes a reality of mine
Thankful hearts, beautiful thoughts
Its love divine

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Keep Me... No More

Keep me no more
Among the rocks and sand
Floating in the wake
In the motion nature takes

Keep me no more
Upon the wave that I mourn
Let it take me to the sea
To a place of calmness inside me

Keep me no more
But in the air to be born
Through the wind in the trees
Showing reverence to the leaves

Keep me no more
In the pleasure I adore
True bliss will I taste
Above the bridge upon my face

Keep me no more
Weathering in the storm
Cover my face from the rain
And keep me... keep me no more

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Silent... Awake... Breathing

Silent... Awake... Breathing
My body is aching... spirit awaking
Cement walls peeling... stained
From years of solitude
Stale air and mildew
Silent... Awake... Breathing
My thoughts are leaving... ankles bleeding
My legs are numb... no feeling
Spirit... Breath... Meditating
Fear and pain fading
God touching my spirit
Eyes are closed... I hear it
Light enters through the steel door
No more pain... no more
Crossing a river of time
Clearing my mind... Rinsing my eyes
Now I am back on the floor
Silent... Awake... Breathing

An Ego Personality

An ego personality
Created my disguise
Stealing peace and harmony
An entrapment of lies

Created my disguise
From past and present thought
An entrapment of lies
Believing what I’m taught

From past and present thought
Bring these lower emotions
Believing what I’m taught
There is truth in pure devotion

Bring these lower emotions
The negativity in me
There is truth in pure devotion
Only love will set me free

The negativity in me
Stealing peace and harmony
Only love will set me free
An ego personality

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Don’t Hate

Our aptitude in life
Is our will to create
But by failing to love
We have begun to hate
Forgetting the truth
That our lives
Are heaven sent
We have stopped
Giving charity
Only feeling discontent
Giving up love
Is an unnatural process
So don’t look back
And count your losses
Just begin looking forward
Don’t seal your fate
Desire to love
And stop the hate

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Nature’s Melody

From the high mountain peaks
To the murky river bed
A silent song is written
That’s never to be read

From the stars in the sky
To the sand in the sea
This melody plays quickly
While it sings in the breeze

This song has perfect harmony
With an orchestra that’s great
It’s nature’s way of loving
In a land that’s full of hate

This song is always playing
In every place on earth
I hope we can remember
The glory of it’s worth

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Once Again...

Now and then it comes to me
This feeling of inspiration
That carries me onward
To that place of stillness
To feel everything moving
In a single moment
Where every heart
Beats together in harmony
An enchanted memory
Of the minutes passing
And time’s mystery
Disappears before my eyes
And I realize in that moment
Eternity has always been
my long lost friend
Teaching me to remember
Its peaceful direction of love
Showing me who I have been
And who I will become
Once again...

Samuel D. Schmiegel

The Bird Song

Each song whispers through my spirit
Perched on the limbs of my heart
From every branch I here them sing
Giving love and peace with open wings

An eternal voice within every bird
Blending together into one song
They sing together as they roam
Creating forever a weeping willow home

Holding memories of each bird
It has roots that are very deep
It is a shelter from the rain
And a propose without change

As I become their every song
In the center of my being
Immersed in my tree where they sing
I will share the Bird song that was given to me

Your In Me

Your in my dreams
Your in my eyes
Your in my heart
Your in the sky
In every stream
And every ocean
So I finally got
the notion...
Your in me
Your everything
Your in the leaves
Up in the trees
Your in my tears
Your in my laugh
And I hear you
In my ears
Your in me
Your everything
Your the only
Thing I need
And I see
Your in everything
Your in me

Lazy Day

As the new morning shown
And the sun was on the rise
Light came through her curtains
Sending warmth upon her eyes
Waking her from her dreams
The light spread through her room
The break of day was here
For a new daydream to bloom
She snuggled in her blankets
Tucking the edges around her feet
She let her body rest
Beneath the comfort of her sheets
She stayed in bed all morning
Burning candles and incense
She was settled in the moment
Enjoying the burning fragrances
The morning was almost over
And she would have to get up soon
But the day was still very young
So she stayed in bed till noon

Wasted Breath

An invisible cloth
Had covered his eyes
In search for the prize
Buying all the lies
Within the plan
The one he devised
Always watching the clock
Every minute...every hour
Only concerned with
Money and power
Now he’s old and sour
Drinking his whisky sour
In the north wing
In the highest tower
Looking back on his life
Wondering where time went
Not realizing it was gone
Before it was spent
Now he sits alone
With the smell of alcohol
Still on his breath
Though a century has passed
His heart is bitter
Crying... for another chance

Welcome To My Poolroom

Welcome to my poolroom
Your invited to play
A game or two
So choose a stick
The stick you like
And be prepared
To play all night
There are some rules
I have to mention
About how we play
So pay attention
The winner breaks
The loser racks
Let’s call our shots
And try not to scratch
I like the challenge
If you play a lot
So don’t hold back
Give it all you’ve got
Here are some shots
That you could play
The kick, the bank
Or the tricky Masse’
You could draw it back
Or you could stop it
You could cut a ball in
While cheating the pocket
When your stance is steady
And your stroke is straight
You will make every ball
Without a mistake
Play with patience
And you shall win
But when you lose
We can play again

Embrace

We are blind
To the signs
That are given
So we kill
And we hurt
Will we ever
Be forgiven
Forgetting that
This sickness
Is still spreading
In our minds
Restraining
The kind words
Inside us
Blaming us
For the shame
We give each other
Will we ever
Be as one
And live together
Like brothers
And sisters
That love each other
Instead of fighting
Like children
That don’t know
Any better
Who will show them
The way the world
Gets dimmer
When your mean
And hateful
And can’t play
Together
So let’s play
Another game
And change together
Let go of all
The pain
And embrace
One another

Samuel D. Schmiegel

Inside Of Me

Inside of me
I can see
In every degree
As I fall asleep
And become blind
Only to find I’m free
To be who I am again
Even when
There’s nothing more
Of me
But here I am
Within eternity
Believing
That I’m breathing
But I’m only thinking
Of what I am
And what I’m seeing
If only these words
Could express
How I’m feeling
Then the rest
Of my words
Would come easy
Easing my mind from time
As the chime
From the clock
Inside me
Stops winding
Reminding me
How long I’ll live
Looking behind me
Inside this illusion
Defining me
Not letting me be free
Just realizing
The degree of confusion
Inside me
Blinding me
From any truth that’s here
Just waiting to find me
Confining me
Within my delusion of thought
Randomly thinking
Its pollution inside me
That won’t let me
Find a solution about life
Or it’s many
Conclusions

Dear God,

Sitting silently aware
Of my heart’s sting
In the moment that I bare
From the pain I bring

Of my heart’s sting
Longing to attain
From the pain I bring
A simple joy to remain

Longing to attain
This great treasure
A simple joy to remain
In my heart forever

This great treasure
Whispers with every breath
In my heart forever
Can I bare this death

Whispers with every breath
The chance to come through
Can I bare this death
To dream of only you

The chance to come through
In the moment that I bare
To dream of only you
Sitting silently aware
